Upon observing our day to day living – we find that we are running and running always. We run to get somewhere and we run to get away from somewhere or someone (a situation).
- How many of us stop and enjoy the gust of cool breeze that blows?
- Do you really “taste” your food while you eat or you get push it into you mouth?
- How often do you smell the air whether it be good or bad?
- How often do you actually listen to the sounds of birds chirp, or your refrigirator’s noise, or your own stomach growl?
- How often to you actually “touch” and feel the texture of objects that you interact with in your day to day life?
Think!
We are too busy trying to get there (somewhere) and forget the beauty that exists all around. Beauty is simple. Simple is beautiful. Try to make it a habit to pick up any mundane thing and do it for the sake of it (for example washing dishes — I have found how amazing it can be — think about it as a play with water, utensils, and soap…. dont worry about getting it done…. dont worry about anything… just play…. u will soon realize the peace/beauty that exists around everything).
Just chill out and relax! Nothing is that serious in life. Life is simple. Our so called goals in life seem to be so very important to us – that is the nature of our mind to attribute weights and importance to objects/goals/ideas. Things just are what they are. We project the value/importance onto them. If you fully understand that “no thing” is important. You will soon realize that everything is important. This might seem contradicting when you read it. But, you will know it when you need to.
Just take things as they come … be present, be intensely present in the present. Play with forms and situations that arise – not seriously but just for the sake of it. Whether if someone insults you or someone praises you – just enjoy it.. just relax and just be.
