The ultimate convergence device of 2007 – Nokia N95

We have seen and heard of convergence for a long time. Cell phone manufacturers have been dreaming of it for a while yet taking slow baby steps toward this dream.

Pushing all the limits and can most definitely be called the ultimate convergence device in 2007. {yeah surely future has much more goodies in store for us} – Nokia’s N95. The iphone is for people who want to show off…. the N95 will kick its butt ..hands down..

Look at these features:

– 5MPixel Carl Ziess Optics
– 3.6 Mbps HSDPA (3G connectivity)
– GPS integrated with maps for 150 counties and turn-by-turn directions. Imagine location based service possibilites.
– Youtube on the Go (yeah.. on the go.. you can download contents)
– VoIp calling.
– Dream of a audio format and it will play (MP3, AAC, eAAC, eAAC+, WMA,etc etc)
– DVD like quality video record (640 * 480 resolution 30fps)
– UPnp Media steaming.
– TV-out
– Quad band GSM, Wifi, Bluetooth A2DP, FM Radio, Irda, USB2.0
– Series 60 3.0 FP1
– Cool Dual slider (with dedicated multimedia keys & keypad)
– Office document viewer
– PIM functionality
– Nokia web browser
– Stunning Media gallery app – I saw it on you tube.

What I dont like about N95:
– QVGA display. C’mon — VGA at least please.
– Where is my UMTS?
– Where is my touch screen… (not a big issue as S60 UI is kinda cool)?
– Where is my DVB-H – dont you want me to see TV on my mobile?

UMA/WiMax might be too much to expect in 2007. So I wont hold it against you Nokia.
